Welcome to Metro West

The definition of what towns are in Metro West will vary based on who you speak to, but for our purposes, we will consider it to be the layers of suburban towns and cities that are West of Boston.

To the immediate West of Boston is the City of Newton, which is made up of 13 distinct village centers.  Beyond Newton are suburbs including Needham, Westwood, Dover, and Wellesley.  If we peel back the onion further we find the suburbs of Sherborn, Framingham, and Natick.

Many consider the area to stretch as far West as Hopkington (some 26.2 miles away from Boston), as far North as Sudbury and as far South as Foxborough.

The towns are dominated by single-family neighborhoods surrounding commercial main streets.  Access to public transportation is via the commuter rail, and there is generally easy access to major expressways such as the Mass Pike and Route 95.
